street stall

Saturday 16th March - Our last day of campaigning before the People's Vote March

We are running a street stall on Slough High Street on Saturday 16th March from 14:00-16:00, in the area outside Boots (Full address: 184 High St, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 1JR).

The focus is going to be on publicising the upcoming People's Vote March the following weekend - so although the Brexitometer will be there, we will mainly be leafleting.

This is the seventh week that we've been there this year and so far it has been very well received by the majority of people that we have spoken to.

Join Slough for Europe's People's Vote campaigning on Saturday 2nd March

With less assistance than usual (but hopefully still with one or two volunteers from further afield), we are running a street stall on Slough High Street on Saturday 16th February from 14:00-16:00, in the area outside Boots (Full address: 184 High St, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 1JR).

It will feature a Brexitometer where people can indicate their opinions anonymously, and leaflets on the People’s Vote. Volunteers will be happy to answer any questions that members of the public might have about The People’s Vote, Brexit and the EU, as well as explaining what they can do to help.

9th February Slough High Street Brexitometer followup

Once again, the people of Slough made it clear that either revoking Article 50 or a People's Vote were their preferred Brexit options.

Interestingly more people now seem to think that renegotiating May's deal is an option, while a general election and no-deal Brexit were this weeks least popular options.

Thank you again to everyone who gave up their afternoon to support this event - especially those who came from further afield.

Campaigning in Slough High Street this weekend

On Saturday 26th January 2019, a National Day of Action is being organised by activists and supporters from the People’s Vote Campaign, while Parliament decides how to respond to the government’s Brexit plans.

As well as the towns across Berkshire, events are taking place all over the country, with thousands of activists and supporters involved. Street stalls will be set up in towns and cities the length and breadth of the country.
